PRIVACY POLICY

(1) Personal data

Four Panels GmbH, Hirschstettner Strasse 19/I, 1220 Vienna, Austria, collects, processes and uses personal data where it has the consent and/or registration for the relevant purpose, as agreed with you as the user, or where there is some other legal basis under GDPR; furthermore, collection, processing and use are subject to the proviso of compliance with data protection legislation and provisions under civil law.

Four Panels only collects personal data that are required in order to carry out and perform its services or personal data which you have voluntarily provided.

Personal data are all data containing details of personal or material circumstances, such as a person’s name, postal address, email address, phone number, date of birth, age or gender, as well as video recordings, photos, voice recordings and also biometric data such as fingerprints. Personal data may also include sensitive data, such as details of a person’s health.

(2) Access to and erasure of data

As the user, you may at any time access your personal data stored within our system and obtain information about their origin, recipients and the purpose of data processing; furthermore, you have a right to rectification, data transfer, objection to and restriction of data processing as well as to the blocking or erasure of incorrect or unlawfully processed data.

You may at any time revoke any consent you have given for the use of your personal data, unless such use is mandatorily required for the fulfilment of contractual duties. If you wish to access, erase, rectify, object to and/or transfer data, please write to the Four Panels address provided in clause 10 of this Privacy Policy, but please note that a request for data transfer can only be granted if it does not cause disproportionate expenditure or work.

If you believe that Four Panels’ processing of personal data is in violation of current data protection legislation or that data privacy rights have been violated in some other way, you can lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority (data protection authority). In Austria, the competent data protection authority is called Datenschutzbehörde.

We erase your user data 24 months following the termination of your membership of the Four Panels GmbH platform.

(3) Data security

We take appropriate organisational and technical precautions to protect personal data. These precautions concern, in particular, protection against unauthorised, unlawful or accidental access, processing, loss, use and tampering.

Although we make every effort to maintain appropriately high standards of diligence at all times, we cannot provide a complete warranty that the information we receive from you over the internet cannot be viewed or used by others.

Four Panels does not therefore accept any liability whatsoever for information being disclosed due to faulty data transmission and/or unauthorised access by third parties (e.g. hacker attacks on email accounts, servers, etc.), where disclosure is not the fault of Four Panels.

(4) Use of data

Any data you disclose to Four Panels are only used for purposes covered by the agreement or by your consent as the user or by some other purpose specified in the provisions of GDPR. The only exception is the use of data for statistical purposes, in which case the data you disclose are used in anonymised form.

(5) Transmission of data to third parties

Performance of the agreement may require us to disclose your user data to third parties (e.g. contractors engaged by Four Panels). Your data are passed on entirely on the basis of GDPR, notably in order to meet your request or on the basis of your prior consent.

Some of the aforementioned recipients of personal data are either located outside your place of residence or they are processed there. The level of data protection in other countries may not always be the same as in Austria. However, Four Panels only sends your personal data to countries for which the EU Commission has decided that their level of data protection is adequate, or, alternatively, Four Panels takes precautions to ensure that all data recipients have an adequate level of data protection, for which purpose Four Panels concludes standard contractual clauses (2010/87/EC and/or 2004/915/EC).

If there is a statutory obligation or if we have received a regulatory instruction or court order, we are compelled to disclose your data to the relevant public authorities or court of law.

(6) Notification of data breaches

Four Panels will make every effort to ensure that data breaches are identified at an early stage and, where necessary, will report them immediately to you as the user and/or to the competent supervisory authority, specifying the data categories which have been affected.

(7) Data storage

Four Panels does not store data any longer than required in order to meet its contractual and/or statutory obligations or to defend against possible liability claims.

(8) Cookies

The Four Panels website uses cookies in order to make its offering more user-friendly, effective and secure.

A cookie is a small text file sent by the Four Panels web server to the cookie file on your computer hard drive via your browser and then saved there. This enables the website to recognise you as the user whenever a connection is made between the Four Panels web server and your browser. Cookies help to determine both the frequency of use and the number of users visiting the website. Four Panels’ cookies contain no more than an identification number and no longer include any data which can be related to you as the user. The main purpose of a cookie is to recognise site visitors.

Two types of cookies are used on this website:

  • Session cookies: These are temporary cookies that stay in the cookie file of your browser until you leave the Four Panels website. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit.

  • Persistent cookies: To improve user-friendliness, these cookies continue to be stored on your device, permitting Four Panels to recognise your browser next time you visit its website.


However, you can configure your browser to inform you about the use of cookies, so that you can decide from case to case whether to accept or reject them. Alternatively, you can set your browser so that it automatically rejects cookies, either under certain conditions or generally, or so that it automatically deletes cookies when you close the browser. If you disable cookies, you may not be able to benefit from the full functionality of this website.

(9) Server log files

To optimise the system performance and user-friendliness of the website, and also to provide useful information about Four Panels, the website provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically sends to Four Panels. These include the internet protocol address (IP address), browser, language settings, operating system, referrer URL, internet provider and the date and time of access.

These data are not merged with personal data sources. Four Panels reserves the right to retrospectively check these data if it receives specific evidence of unlawful use.
